Stars Don Fedoras4Fairness

Several big-name stars like Julianne Moore, John Leguizamo, Elen Barker, Cynthia Nixon, and more,
have shown support for a new initiative in immigration reform called Fedoras4Fairness. The campaign specifically focuses on immigration rights for women, who are often overlooked in immigration issues.

The stars wear fedoras to exemplify the different "hats" women wear, as in the roles that they play. Several of them mentioned having immigrant parents or a parent who faced the hardships of immigration.

"Get educated about this issue, remember we're all family, we belong together" says actress Judith Light. Along with the promotional pictures taken by professional photographer Albert Watson, a video was released where the stars talk in more detail about why exactly this issue is important.

The overarching message of the campaign is keeping families together, and that includes the demand for equal treatment for LGBT families. The initiative hopes to bring a clear, positive message in a time when the immigration reform bill is still quite tumultuous.
