Senate Settles on Border Security

Senate aides say that Senators have reached an agreement about the immigration reform bill, which would almost double the amount of federal agents on the US-Mexico border.
The agreement would add about $30 billion to the overall cost of the proposal, but after the Congressional Budget Office presented their findings of the bill reducing federal deficits by almost $200 billion over the next ten years, Senators decided that the additional costs can be offset.

Along with the additional federal agents, the agreement calls for an added 700 miles of fence on the border and air drones.

Senators Bob Corker and John Hoeven are expected to announce more details later today.
